Angela commenced with Butler McIntyre & Butler in 2009 after graduating from the University of Tasmania in 2008 with a combined Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws degree.

Angela completed the Professional Legal Training Program in 2009 and was subsequently admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania and High Court of Australia as a Barrister and Solicitor.

Angela practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation along with property law.  Angela frequently represents clients in the Magistrates Court on a range of civil matters.  She is eager to assist you with domestic and commercial property transactions, litigious matters and the preparation of Wills.

Outside her professional life Angela spends the majority of her spare time on the family farm but can, on occasion, be found competing at one of Tassie’s motocross tracks.

Joanne Popowski started employment with Butler McIntyre & Butler in 2008, working part time whilst completing her Bachelor of Laws degree with honours at the University of Tasmania. Jo commenced full time with the firm in mid 2010 after being admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania as a Barrister and Solicitor in August 2010.

Joanne has a background in real estate management, having worked prior to her degree with agents in NW Coast. She practices in the areas of leases, tribunal work, property transfers, and magistrates’ court criminal defence and civil claims. 

Outside of the office, Joanne cares for her two primary school aged children and enjoys to return to her birthplace in the rural province of Smithton, and spending time with family, reading, bush walking and enjoying music.
