Joe was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2008 and joined Butler McIntyre and Butler in 2009, practicing in Criminal and Family law.

After admission, Joe spent a year as Associate to Justice Porter at the Supreme Court of Tasmania.  This experience gave him an intimate working knowledge of the Court and the litigation process.

He appears regularly before the Magistrates Court on all types of criminal matters, including restricted drivers licences and restraint orders, as well as helping clients with parenting and property disputes.

He is also a member of the Young Lawyers Committee within the Law Society of Tasmania.

Outside of the office, Joe spends his spare time indulging his passions for drumming, travelling and, when the weather permits, spending long days at the beach.
