Anna specialises in family law. She became a partner with Butler McIntyre Butler in 2004 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania and High Court of Australia in 1997 and the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1998.

After completing a combined degree in Arts/Law majoring in geography and environmental studies at the University of Tasmania, Anna worked in Melbourne with the medium tier firm, Gadens.

In 1999 Anna travelled to London to complete two years of legal practice. On her return, she joined BMB as a family lawyer.

Anna is well-versed in issues pertaining to children and their care arrangements following separation, matrimonial property and property acquired during a significant relationship, child support and spousal maintenance.

The challenge to balance the likely legal outcome with the most positive and practical outcome for a client and their family is what drives Anna’s legal practise.

Anna works closely with both private family law clients and clients funded by Legal Aid. Anna has a working relationship with community based organisations that assist separating parties with the emotional and day to day challenges following the breakdown of a relationship.

Anna is a committee member of Pathways, and a committee member of the Family Law Practitioners Association.
